BATON ROUGE — Tickets for the 2008 NCAA Baton Rouge Regional, hosted by LSU at Tiger Park from May 16-18, will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday and are currently on sale to LSU season ticket holders.
The three-day, double-elimination tournament will determine a berth in the NCAA Super Regionals the following weekend. Will call tickets will be available for pick up beginning on Thursday at the ticket office. The ticket trailer at Tiger Park will open one hour prior to the start of each game.
Current LSU season ticket holders should purchase their regional tickets today or risk those tickets being sold when the seating is opened to the public on Tuesday. All fans should be aware that general admission seating is limited and most fans holding general admission tickets may be required to stand if the all general admission seating is taken.
Fans can purchase all tickets online at the official web site of LSU Athletics, www.LSUsports.net, at the ticket office or call (225) 578-2184 or (800) 960-8587. Tournament books are available for $40 each for adults and $25 each for youth between the ages of 2 and 12. All children under two get into Tiger Park for free. In addition, single-game tickets will be available on Friday at a cost of $6 for adults and $4 for youth.
The Tournament will begin on Friday, May 16 with games UL-Lafayette taking on East Carolina at 4 p.m., followed by top-seeded LSU facing Mississippi Valley State at 7 p.m. Saturday’s games will begin at 11 a.m. and will be followed by games at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The championship game will be on Sunday at 1 p.m., followed by a second game at 4 p.m. if necessary.
Patrons may not bring the following items into Tiger Park: Bags of any size including backpacks, alcoholic beverages, bottles, cans, cups or containers, or irritants.
