BATON ROUGE — LSU standout Ashleigh Clare-Kearney was named to the SEC Community Service Team on Tuesday for her work in the Baton Rouge area.
The junior from Manchester, Conn. has shared her time out of the gym helping the community in various ways. She participated in the Greater Baton Rouge Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive.
Additionally, she has spent time at Children’s Hospital, visiting the patients and their families. Clare-Kearney volunteered at the MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon as well.
This season, she and her team participated in the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority pancake breakfast to raise money for breast cancer awareness just a week after she and her team raised $30,950 at the first annual Etta James Memorial Meet for breast cancer awareness.
