Vote for LSU Basketball's All-Decade Teams: 2000s

Men’s Basketball All-Decade Voting Ends Sunday

BATON ROUGE — Voting will conclude this Sunday at 1 p.m. on the final all-decade choices for LSU’s first 100 years of men’s college basketball, the 2000s that includes players who played in the Maravich Assembly Center from 2000 through the present 2007-08 team.

Fans can go to LSUsports.net and click the men’s basketball link to find the 100th anniversary voting site for the year 2000 and vote for their top 10 choices of the decade.

Voting on the teams of the 1940s through the 1990s has already closed and those choices, along with the voting from the 2000s, will be announced on Wednesday night at the LSU-Alabama game. All those voted on to all-decade teams will be eligible to be on the ballot for the All-Century team to be voted on this summer.

The early years team from 1909 through 1939 will be announced later this spring as chosen by the LSU Centennial Committee.

LSU is planning to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the very first university-sanctioned intercollegiate basketball game on Jan. 30, 2009 with a big gala in the Maravich Center followed by a Southeastern Conference basketball game on Jan. 31, 2009.
