Men’s Tennis Match Versus Clemson Rained Out

BATON ROUGE — Mother Nature continues to be 18th-ranked LSU men’s tennis team’s toughest opponent, as its match against Clemson on Thursday at 2 p.m. was cancelled.

LSU’s next match will be Saturday, Feb. 23, against 25th-ranked Texas A&M at 1 p.m. at the W.T. “Dub” Robinson Tennis Stadium.

“I am disappointed we didn’t have an opportunity to play against coach Chuck Kriese in his last season,” LSU head coach Jeff Brown said. “He has done a lot for college tennis and I would like to wish him well in his future endeavors. I hope to see a lot of fans out Saturday to support our team. The Aggies have always been one of the leaders in attendance and it would be good to have a great crowd for that match.”

Thursday’s cancellation is the fifth match that the Tigers have had to postpone this season due to inclement weather. LSU is the only school in the Southeastern Conference without an indoor tennis facility.
