BATON ROUGE — LSU students, faculty and staff are invited to Alex Box Stadium on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. for an autograph session with members of the Houston Astros as the team’s 2008 Winter Caravan passes through Baton Rouge.
Astros catcher Brad Ausmus, former Astros great Jeff Bagwell, assistant general manager Dave Gottfried and broadcaster Dave Raymond will be on hand to meet LSU students, faculty and staff members for a 45-minute autograph session.
The event is part of a day-long swing through New Orleans and Baton Rouge for the Houston club. The day begins for the Astros’ entourage at Thurgood Middle School and Dream Center in New Orleans in the morning, concluding with a public autograph signing at Academy Sports and Outdoors in the afternoon after the visit to Alex Box Stadium.
The Astros tour group will also meet with the LSU baseball team during its visit to The Box.
