NEW ORLEANS — Senior Luis Flores of the defending national champion Georgia men’s tennis team won the “A” draw championship Monday morning to close out the SEC Coaches’ Indoor Championships held at the Health Club at the Hilton.

Fourth-seeded Flores defeated unseeded Ivan Bjelica of Mississippi State, 6-4, 6-7 (2), 6-4, to take the tournament’s top singles title. It marks the fourth-straight year a Georgia player has won a title at this event.

The “A” draw championship was the final match of the LSU-hosted event. Ole Miss won the other two draws of the tournament. Rebel Jonas Berg won the singles “B” draw and two Rebel doubles teams reached the doubles draw final, which will be played later this week in Oxford, Miss.

The Tigers will open the dual season Tuesday, Jan. 29, against Southern Miss and Southern at the W.T. “Dub” Robinson Tennis Stadium.
