BATON ROUGE — The LSU Track and Field Association recently elected its new officers for the 2007-08 season, named five association members to its Board of Directors and inducted three of its members into the LSUTF Association Hall of Fame.
Dwight Woosley has been elected to serve as Association President for the second straight year, while E.L. Gueho will serve as Vice President for the second year in a row. Paul Stelly and Myrna Schexnayder have been re-elected as this year’s treasurer and secretary, respectively.
In addition, Kirk Brown, Helen Coklin, John Hayes and Gueho have each been re-elected to serve their second year on the LSUTF Association Board of Directors, while Sherry Gueho has been elected to serve her first season on the board.
Newly elected officers will serve one-year terms in their respective positions, while all newly elected board members will serve in that capacity for the next three years.
The association also honored three of its members for their dedicated service over the years as Darwin Klar, Russell Faust and Coklin have earned induction into the LSUTF Association Hall of Fame. Each inductee will be recognized in LSU’s first home indoor meet of the season at the Purple Tiger Classic on Jan. 19.
