BATON ROUGE — Miss Louisiana Amanda Joseph will make an appearance at the Les Miles Show on Friday night at the Sheraton New Orleans.
The Les Miles Show presented by Whitney Bank will be held on Friday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. at the Sheraton New Orleans. Joseph will be on hand from 6:30 to 8 p.m. signing autographs and taking pictures with LSU fans.
Joseph, a native of Pineville and a student at LSU, will represent Louisiana in the Miss America Pageant on Jan. 26 in Las Vegas. The pageant will be televised nationally by TLC. Joseph and the other 51 Miss America candidates will be featured in a reality series ? Miss America: Reality Check – on TLC starting on Friday, Jan. 4.
Joseph, who is a student assistant in the LSU Sports Information Department, is also a member of the LSU Golden Girls.
In addition to Miss Louisiana, the LSU Cheerleaders and Mike the Tiger will make an appearance at the event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Other highlights of the show include a free drawing for an authentic LSU game jersey from the Tigers’ win over Tulane earlier this year as well free LSU commemorative BCS National Championship posters.
The show will be held in the Armstrong Ballroom, which is located on the eighth floor of the Sheraton New Orleans on Canal Street. Admission is free of charge and doors will open at 6 p.m. Seating will be a on a first come basis. The Sheraton New Orleans will operate a cash bar for the event.
The show will be broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network and can be heard in the Baton Rouge area on Eagle 98.1 FM as well as across the region on WWL Radio (870 AM). The show will also be carried on the Internet in the GeauxZone on LSUsports.net.
Other features of the show include the popular call-in segment with the fans as well as Coach Miles’ take on the Tigers’ game against top-ranked Ohio State, which will be held on Monday, Jan. 7 in the Louisiana Superdome.
