BATON ROUGE — The LSU women’s tennis team received a National Letter of Intent from highly-regarded Whitney Wolf, head coach Tony Minnis announced Wednesday.
Wolf is currently rated as a five-star recruit and ranked as the nation’s No. 59 player according to tennisrecruiting.net.
Wolf, a native of Pride, La., is also ranked as the No. 1 player in Louisiana for the 2008 class.
“We are extremely excited to have Whitney join our team next fall,” Minnis said. “She has a tremendous amount of potential. She is very strong and physical and will end up being a very solid college player.”
LSU opens the spring season Jan. 18-20 at the Virginia Classic hosted by the University of Virginia.
