LSU perfect because Miles has been perfect

It was a close-up shot. And he’s smiling.
Why was Les Miles smiling?
I’m watching a replay of the LSU-Florida football game. It’s early in the fourth quarter, the Tigers are trailing by 10 points, and the LSU coach, swimming in a cauldron of Big Game pressure, is smiling?
Why?
The more I thought about it, the more I looked at the smile as a window into the makeup of the man.
“Les Miles is someone completely at ease with himself,” Skip Bertman, the athletic director who hired him, told me after Miles signed on to succeed Nick Saban. “Les has a great grip on reality.”
All right.
But, watching the replay, I kept thinking I couldn’t imagine Nick Saban, down by 10, flashing a smile, if only for a second.
