BATON ROUGE — It’s starting to look like CBS is becoming the official television home for LSU football this season as the network announced that it will televise the Tigers’ game against Kentucky on Oct. 13 in Lexington.
LSU and Kentucky will square off at 2:30 p.m. CDT from Commonwealth Stadium. It will mark LSU’s third appearance on CBS this year. The Tigers will also appear on CBS a fourth time on Nov. 23 when they host Arkansas in the regular season finale.
The most appearances LSU has ever made on CBS in one season came in 2003 when the Tigers were on that network five times during their national championship run. LSU will make its first regular season prime time appearance on CBS on Saturday when the Tigers host Florida in Tiger Stadium.
LSU’s first CBS appearance this year came in a 28-16 win over South Carolina on Sept. 22.
Other Southeastern Conference games slated for television on Oct. 13 include: Alabama at Ole Miss on Lincoln Financial Sports at 11:30 a.m.; South Carolina at North Carolina at 2:30 p.m. on ABC; Georgia at Vanderbilt at 5 p.m. on ESPN; and Auburn at Arkansas at 6:45 p.m. on ESPN.
