BATON ROUGE — In an LSU men’s basketball first, the second game of LSU’s three-game Labor Day Weekend Canadian exhibition tour will be broadcast by LSU Sports Properties over the internet at www.LSUsports.net.
The broadcast will begin just before 2 p.m. CDT as LSU takes on York University from Toronto. The Voice of the Tigers, Jim Hawthorne, will be joined by LSU Senior Associate SID Kent Lowe, on the call. There will be no charge to listen to the internet broadcast. There will be no over the air availability of the broadcast.
The Tigers are scheduled to leave for Canada on Friday evening and play its first game at the University of Guelph, some 65 miles from Toronto, at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Following Sunday’s game with York, the tour will conclude with a 10 a.m. game on Monday against the University of Toronto Varsity Blues. The Tigers are scheduled to return to Baton Rouge late on Monday.
LSU has been practicing since last Friday in preparation for the three-game tour and the team has two practices scheduled Thursday and a final practice Friday morning before classes before departing for Canada from the New Orleans International Airport.
