BATON ROUGE — The start of football season officially begins for LSU on Friday as the Tigers take their turn at the Southeastern Conference Media Days in Hoover, Ala.
LSU coach Les Miles along with defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey and wide receiver Early Doucet will meet with over 500 members of the media in a two-hour session on Friday.
In addition to interviews sessions with the print and electronic media, Friday’s schedule also has the Tigers spending time in front of the camera with ESPN, Lincoln-Financial Sports, SEC-TV, CSTV and Comcast Sports. A portion of Miles’ session with the print media can be seen live on ESPNews.
Also on Friday, the league office will release the pre-season all-conference team as well as predictions for the league race as voted on by the media. LSU is widely expected to be picked to win the league title as the Tigers return 15 starters from last year’s team that posted an 11-2 overall mark and beat Notre Dame, 41-14, in the Sugar Bowl.
The Tigers, who report to camp on Friday, Aug. 3, open their third season under Miles on Thursday, Aug. 30 when they travel to face Mississippi State in a nationally televised contest on ESPN.
