LAS VEGAS — Former LSU player Glen Davis made his debut Friday night for the Boston Celtics summer league NBA team and his Celtics were winners over Portland and No. 1 draft pick Greg Oden, 74-66.
Davis, the 35th pick overall and the second pick of the second round, started and played 24 minutes. He was 0-of-5 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line for three points with six rebounds, three assists and two turnovers.
Leon Powe led the Celtics with 19 points with Gerald Green adding 14 more.
Oden had six points before reaching the summer league maximum of 10 fouls.
The Celtics play again on Monday at 3 p.m. CDT against San Antonio. All games of the Las Vegas Summer League are available on NBA-TV.
