Former Tiger Livingston Returns to NBA Roster

BATON ROUGE — Former LSU point guard Randy Livingston, who played for the Tigers in the mid-1990s, has returned to the NBA for an 11th season as he has signed with the Seattle Supersonics for the remainder of the 2007 season.

The New Orleans native had been playing with the Idaho Stampede of the developmental league where in 46 appearances he averaged 12.3 points and 10.6 assists with 4.7 rebounds per game. This will be his second time playing in Seattle, having played with the Sonics during the 2001-02 season. Livingston finished the 2005-06 season with the Chicago Bulls.

Prior to the start of the season, Livingston, who prepped at Newman High School in New Orleans and played during the 1995 and 1996 seasons for Coach Dale Brown at LSU, was offered a coaching job with the Stampede but wanted to try for one chance at the NBA and elected to play in the league.

Livingston’s first game with Seattle was Wednesday night against the Phoenix Suns.
