BATON ROUGE — The LSU men’s tennis team jumped three spots to No. 10 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings released on Tuesday.
The Tigers (10-2, 3-1 SEC) stepped out of conference play this past weekend and defeated Texas A&M on Saturday, 4-3. LSU’s only two loses came against No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Ohio State.
Along with LSU’s No. 10 ranking, the Southeastern Conference represents two other teams in the top 10 with Georgia (No. 1) and Ole Miss (No. 9.)
In individual rankings, the Tigers represent three singles player and two doubles teams.
In singles, senior Ken Skupski leads the way as he held his spot at No. 24. Danny Bryan came in at No. 44 and Kevin Dessauer list at No. 111.
Behind their strong doubles play, the Tigers have won the doubles point 10 out of their 12 matches.
The tandem of Bryan and Colt Gaston jumped to No. 5 in the rankings. The SEC Indoors Doubles Champions have won 24 out of their last 25 matches.
The duo of Skupski and James Cluskey dropped to No. 14. The LSU pair leads the team with 15 doubles wins.
