BATON ROUGE — The LSU women’s tennis team takes on another non-conference opponent as Tulsa travels to W.T. “Dub” Robinson Tennis Stadium on Friday at 4 p.m. CT.

The Lady Tigers are coming off a mid-week contest as they defeated Minnesota, 6-0, on Wednesday to improve their overall record to 7-5.

“Tulsa is having one of the best seasons in its history,” LSU head coach Tony Minnis said. “This is an opportunity for us to use some momentum from yesterday’s win against Minnesota and transfer it to Tulsa.”

Tulsa is ranked No. 30 by ITA in the latest ranking. This is the highest ranking for the Hurricanes since they were ranked No. 28 in 2001.

LSU leads the all-time series 4-2, but Tulsa won the meeting last year, 4-3, in Oklahoma.

Sophomore Megan Falcon has led the Lady Tigers this season as she has improved her career record to 22-2, with a winning streak of 12, and has yet to lose a match in the No. 1 slot in dual play.

Freshman Hannah Robinson has also been a positive contributor as she has improved her record to 16-7 with five straight wins.

The Lady Tigers will return to SEC play as they host South Carolina, Florida and Ole Miss throughout the rest of March.
