BATON ROUGE — The LSU women’s tennis looks to earn another SEC victory as they welcome No. 12 Georgia to the W.T. “Dub” Robinson Tennis Stadium on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. CST.

“Georgia is an outstanding team. I think they are probably one of the top three or four teams in the country,” LSU head coach Tony Minnis said. “We are really excited about the opportunity to play this team at this time. This should be a very competitive match.”

The Lady Tigers (5-2, 1-0 Southeastern Conference) are coming off a big 5-2 upset of No. 24 Tennessee on Friday in Baton Rouge. They will attempt to improve their record to 2-0 in SEC play as they battle the Bulldogs, who have a perfect record of 8-0 (1-0 SEC).

Georgia opened SEC play Friday at Arkansas against the Lady Backs, coming away with the 6-1 advantage.

Georgia has three individuals and two doubles team ranked by ITA. Individually, senior Natalie Frazier is ranked No.11, sophomore Monica Dancevic is No. 62 and senior Darya Ivanov is No. 93.

Ivanov and Dancevic are also ranked in doubles. Ivanov and her partner, Yvette Hyndman, are No. 23, while Dancevic and her partner, Kelley Hyndman, are No. 33.

For the Lady Tigers, No. 7 Megan Falcon is undefeated in dual match play at the No. 1 spot. She and her doubles partner, Hannah Robinson, are ranked No. 11 by ITA.

The Bulldogs have controlled the all-time series, ahead 29-4 over the Lady Tigers. The last LSU victory came in 1985. Georgia swept the 2006 contest, 7-0, in Athens.
