BATON ROUGE — The No. 20-ranked LSU men’s tennis team will try to rebound from a 4-2 loss to No. 2-ranked Ohio State when it host TCU at 2 p.m. Tuesday at W.T. “Dub” Robinson Tennis Stadium.

The Tigers (5-1) will use this match against the Horned Frogs (1-2) as a final tune up before they begin conference play this weekend.

“This is an exciting week for us with a regional rival TCU coming here Tuesday and conference play on the horizon,” LSU head coach Jeff Brown said. “We are looking to make some positive changes this week and use the experience we have gained so far this season in this tough week ahead of us.”

The Horned Frogs, currently ranked No. 49 in the nation, have been out of action since Feb. 11, when they fell to Texas A&M ? Corpus Christi, 5-2. The Horned Frogs are led by first-year head coach Dave Borelli.

Senior Ken Skupski looks to get back on track after dropping his last two matches, both against opponents ranked in the top-50. With a win on Tuesday, the England native would take sole possession of 8th place on LSU’s career singles victories list with 95. Skupski holds a 13-7 record this season.

Junior Kevin Dessauer has been one of the Tigers’ most consistent contributors this season. The New Orleans native is 6-0 in dual play and won all six matches in straight sets. Dessauer’s most notable win came on Saturday when he upset No. 35 Devin Mullings of Ohio State.

Danny Bryan and Colt Gaston continue their relentless attack in doubles, where they have won 19-straight matches since last season.

After Tuesday’s match, LSU will open conference play this weekend when it travels to No. 32 Tennessee on Friday and No. 1 Georgia on Sunday.
