BATON ROUGE — The undefeated and seventh-ranked LSU softball team has changed the time of its game against UL-Monroe on Wednesday to 4 p.m., moving the game time up two hours due to weather concerns; it was announced by the athletics department on Monday.
With mostly cloudy skies and lows predicted in the lower 30’s for Wednesday evening, the Tigers have pushed the game time ahead by two hours from its original start time of 6 p.m. in an attempt to get the game in without complications. Fans will be still able to win great prizes throughout the contest with “Sweetheart Scratch Tickets” as part of Swinging Sweethearts Valentine’s Night.
LSU currently stands at 6-0 after sweeping through the Easton Tiger Classic last weekend. The Tigers won their sixth Tiger Classic title in eight appearances. Following Wednesday’s game, LSU will be on the road at the Crowne Plaza Invitational in Houston, Texas. The Tigers will take on Houston, Indiana, Missouri State, Southern Illinois and Texas State in the three-day round robin tournament.
