BATON ROUGE — With the start of the 2007 season only two weeks away, individual game tickets for the LSU softball season will go on sale on Thursday, Feb. 1, at the LSU Athletics Ticket Office.
Individual game tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 3-12. Fans can purchase tickets online at the official web site of LSU Athletics, LSUsports.net, at the ticket office on the first floor of the Athletics Administration Building or by calling (225) 578-2184 or (800) 960-8587. LSU students, faculty and staff are admitted free with an LSU ID.
Season tickets for the upcoming year are on still on sale at the LSU Ticket Office for $60 for reserved seats. Fans are encouraged to get their season tickets this season to guarantee great seats in the new Tiger Park.
Last season, the Tigers tied the school record for most home wins, posting a 31-3 record at Tiger Park. LSU rattled off 15 straight to open the season before later posting a nine-game winning streak. In 10 seasons, the Tigers have won over 87 percent of their home games and enter the 2007 season just 12 wins from 300 at Tiger Park.
LSU will close out the third week of preseason practice with its second scrimmage on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. The Tigers will open the season on Friday, Feb. 9 against Memphis at Tiger Park in the Tiger Classic at 3:30 p.m. LSU will then take on Centenary, Middle Tennessee and Missouri before beginning bracket play in the three-day tournament.
