BATON ROUGE — LSU strong safety Jessie Daniels has been added to the roster for the East-West Shrine Game, which will be played on Saturday at Reliant Stadium in Houston.
Kickoff for the East-West Shrine Game is set for 6 p.m. and will be televised to a national audience by ESPN2.
Daniels, a native of Breaux Bridge, La., joins fellow Tiger Daniel Francis in the all star game. Both players will play for the East squad in the contest.
In four years with the Tigers, Daniels played in 49 games, starting 36 times. He finished his career with the Tigers with 183 tackles, 11 tackles for losses, four interceptions and three sacks.
As a senior in 2006, Daniels had 47 tackles and one sack for an LSU defense that ranked among the top four in the nation in total defense, pass defense and scoring defense.
