BATON ROUGE — The Les Miles Show presented by Whitney Bank will make its return to New Orleans for the second straight year as the one-hour radio show will be held on Friday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. at the Sheraton New Orleans. Come to the show or watch live in the Geaux Zone.
Last year, the Les Miles Show was held before a packed house at a New Orleans establishment prior to the Tigers’ 41-14 win over Notre Dame in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
The radio show, which is hosted by the Voice of the Tigers Jim Hawthorne, will preview LSU’s national championship game against Ohio State. Second-ranked LSU is making its second appearance in the BCS National Championship Game.
The Les Miles Show will be held in the Armstrong Ballroom, which is located on the eighth floor of the Sheraton New Orleans on Canal Street. Admission is free of charge and doors will open at 6 p.m. Seating will be a on a first come basis. The Sheraton New Orleans will operate a cash bar for the event.
Members of the Golden Band from Tigerland will also be on hand to entertain fans.
The LSU Cheerleaders and Mike the Tigers will make an appearance at the event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. There will also be a free drawing for an authentic LSU game jersey from the Tigers’ win over Tulane earlier this year. There will also be other prize giveaways.
In addition, all fans attending the show will be able to pick up LSU’s commemorative BCS National Championship poster.
The show will be broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network and can be heard in the Baton Rouge area on Eagle 98.1 FM as well as across the region on WWL Radio (870 AM). The show will also be carried on the Internet in the Geaux Zone on LSUsports.net.
Other features of the show include the popular call-in segment with the fans as well as Coach Miles’ take on the Tigers’ game against top-ranked Ohio State, which will be held on Monday, Jan. 7 in the Louisiana Superdome.
