BATON ROUGE — The LSU women’s tennis team had three players ranked in the ITA Southwest Regional rankings released on Friday.
Sophomores Megan Falcon and Mykala Hedberg are listed in singles rankings while Falcon and freshman Hannah Robinson are listed in doubles.
“That is obviously a result of solid performance to establish a rank,” LSU head coach Tony Minnis said. “I think we are capable of very good things and these rankings are a very good start because they show such a solid effort.”
Falcon led the Lady Tigers as she was ranked No. 2 in singles. Falcon defeated nine ranked opponents in her run at the ITA All-American Championships. She compiled a record of 12-2 in the fall season.
Also in singles, Hedberg was ranked No. 25. She compiled a 6-6 record in the fall season.
In doubles, Falcon and Robinson are ranked No. 2. They have compiled a 5-1 record in the fall season.
The Lady Tigers return to action in January at the Michigan Classic.
