COLUMBUS, Ohio — Sophomore Megan Falcon of the LSU women’s tennis team retired from the ITA Intercollegiate Indoor Championships due to an injury on Friday.
Falcon began play in the second round of the tournament against Jenna Long of North Carolina. Long defeated Falcon in the first set by a tiebreaker score of 7-6(1).
Falcon was down 2-1 in the second set when she had to retire from play due to a pulled stomach muscle.
Due to this injury, Falcon will be unable to resume play in the tournament.
