PACIFIC PALISADES, CALIF. — Sophomore Megan Falcon of the LSU women’s tennis team blanked her opponent as she defeated Troy’s Rawia Elsisi in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, at the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships.
“Megan played an incredible match,” LSU head coach Tony Minnis said. “Her opponent made some big shots and Megan played good defense and crushed the girl’s spirit.”
Falcon has made her collegiate debut in this tournament winning all three of her first matches in straight sets.
“It’s going really good so far and I am just trying to stay focused,” Falcon said. “I feel confident in fighting for every point.”
Falcon will resume play Tuesday in the first round singles competition in the qualifying draw.
