BATON ROUGE — LSU junior Rachael Graham was the named the SEC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week it was announced Wednesday by the conference office.
Graham, a native of Greenwell Springs, La., was honored after leading the Lady Tigers to victory at their own LSU Tiger Cross Country Festival last weekend, winning the women’s 6K race in 22:50.84.
The win marked the first of Graham’s collegiate career, while her 6K time is the fastest by a Lady Tiger this season.
To date, Graham has posted a pair of top-10 finishes and has been LSU’s top finisher in each of its races this season.
The LSU cross country team returns to action this Saturday when it travels to Auburn, Ala., for the Auburn Invitational at the Indian Pines Golf Course.
