BATON ROUGE — Michelle Makasini of LSU and Holly Moran of Southeastern Louisiana have been named Louisiana Players of the Week as voted on by sports information directors in the state.
Makasini, a freshman midfielder from Euless, Texas, scored four goals and had an assist last week for the Tigers. She is leading the team in goals after four contests and had her first multi-goal game in a win over Houston.
Moran, a junior from Gonzales, La., has not allowed a goal during her time in net in Southeastern’s three victories this season. She had totaled 225 scoreless minutes in goal.
Other players receiving nominations for Offensive Player of the Week were: Emily Cleaveland, Louisiana Tech; Lindsey Dyck, Southeastern Louisiana; Caroline Seago, Northwestern State; Tori Priddy, Nicholls State; Stefani Robbs, Centenary. Others nominated for Goal Keeper of the Week were: Johnna Klohoker, Northwestern State; Jill Medigovich, Louisiana Tech; Sarah Neunzig, Nicholls State.
