BATON ROUGE — LSU freshman running back Keiland Williams has been cleared by the NCAA and will practice today with the Tigers, head coach Les Miles announced on Thursday.

Williams comes to LSU after an outstanding prep career, one that saw him rush for 2,500 yards and 30 touchdowns in 2004 at Northside High School in Lafayette, La. He then followed that by accounting for 1,325 yards and 12 touchdowns during the 2005 season at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va.
