BATON ROUGE — The nationally ranked LSU softball team is now accepting applications for a student manager position for the 2006-07 year.
The student manager applicant must possess athletic ability and a knowledge of softball as the position requires responsibilities during practices. In addition, the manager must have the ability to travel to all road contests throughout the year. A scholarship may be awarded for the position.
Potential applicants in good standing with the University should call Ashley Stringfellow in the LSU Softball office at (225) 578-3947. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Who is eligible to apply?
Full-time undergraduate LSU students in good academic standing
High school seniors with provisional admission
Undergraduate transfer students with provisional admission

What are the responsibilities and privileges of an LSU Student Manager?
Being an LSU softball manager is a major time commitment. The year begins in August with fall practices and continues throughout the 2007 spring season.
Practices are held 5-6 times per week in the afternoon or evening during both the fall and spring semesters.
Managers must have athletic ability.
Managers must also have the availability to travel to all road games and tournaments during the season.
