BATON ROUGE — Several LSU student-athletes participated in the Mall at Cortana’s Camp Kids Club in association with Clear Channel Communications on Tuesday.
Football player Peter Dyakowski, gymnast Lisa Rennie and men’s tennis players Danny Bryan and Eric DeRoche attended the event from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the sixth and final Camp Kids Club of the summer at the Mall at Cortana. The student-athletes were stationed with the arts and crafts booth. They helped the participating children put together beaded bracelets and necklaces.
The Camp Kids Club ran each week for six weeks at the Mall of Cortana for children ages 5-11. Participants were given a t-shirt, lunch and a camp goody bag each week and treated to science, face painting, balloon art and other activities. Other participants included the Baton Rouge Fire Department, Stennis Space Center, Baton Rouge Symphony and the Louisiana Children’s Museum.
