HEUSDEN, Belgium — Former track stars Lolo Jones and Derrick Brew picked up victories Saturday in leading a contingent of athletes with LSU ties at the KBC Night of Athletics in Belgium.

Jones posted a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles for the second time in three days, winning the event in 12.56 seconds. The time, which bettered her previous best of 12.61 recorded on Thursday, ranks as the sixth fastest time in the world this season.

Brew broke the 45-second barrier in the 400 meters for the first time this year en route to claiming his second straight open quarter title in 44.96.

Also posting a huge PR on the day was former Lady Tiger Neisha Bernard-Thomas. The Grenada native set a new national record in the 800 meters, crossing the line in 2:00.13 to finish third overall.
