RETHYMNO, Greece — Former Tiger track and field standout Kelly Willie picked up his first professional victory Friday in Greece, winning the 200 meters at the 22nd annual Vardinoyannia.
Willie clocked a season-best 20.20 seconds behind a 2.5 mph tailwind to secure the win and beat out runner-up Usain Bolt (20.29) of Jamaica at the line.
Also competing in the 100 meters, Willie finished fifth among the field, stopping the clock at 10.20.
