IRVING, Texas — The players say it’s a product of the program they come from. The coach says it’s simply a coincidence. And when that happens, the truth usually lies somewhere in between.
Regardless what the real answer is, the Dallas Cowboys appear to have to some kind of infatuation with the LSU football program.
Since Bill Parcells took over as head coach in 2003, he has drafted at least one LSU player in each of the last four seasons, the latest wide receiver Skyler Green in the fourth round of April’s draft.
From Bradie James (fourth round) in 2003, to Stephen Peterman (third round) the following year to Marcus Spears in the first round last season, the Cowboys have been acquiring their fair share of Tigers.
