BATON ROUGE — The in-town members of the men’s and women’s LSU Final Four team joined the men’s and women’s basketball teams from Southern University in a special gather Tuesday night at the Governor’s mansion of Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco.
All four teams advanced to the NCAA Tournament with both LSU teams advancing as champions of the Southeastern Conference, while the Southern teams won the automatic bids in the Southwestern Athletic Conference by winning the league’s automatic bids in the conference tournament.
