NASHVILLE, Tenn. — LSU sophomore Glen Davis was named to the SEC All-Tournament team selected by a committee of media representatives covering the conference tournament at the Gaylord Entertainment Center Sunday.
Davis was the only member of the team who did not play in the championship game on Sunday won by Florida over South Carolina, 49-47.
The Baton Rouge forward averaged 20 points for his two games in the tournament, highlighted by a career-high equaling 28 points in the quarterfinals against Vanderbilt on Friday night. For the two games, Davis hit 15-of-30 field goal attempts and averaged 10 rebounds per game.
Taurean Green of Florida was named the MVP of the tournament and joining Davis and Green on the team were Corey Brewer of Florida and Tre’ Kelley and Renaldo Balkman of South Carolina.
