BATON ROUGE — LSU men’s basketball coach John Brady, forward Glen Davis and guard Darrel Mitchell were all named to the District 8 team announced Tuesday by the United States Basketball Writers Association of America.
Brady was named the Coach of the Year in the District that encompasses teams in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana, while Davis and Mitchell were named to the All-District first-team.
The Player of the Year selection for the District was P. J. Tucker of Texas. The other Louisiana school with a player on the team was Louisiana Tech with forward Paul Millsap.
