Here are a few general guidelines for what you can expect to find in the Geaux Zone in 2006:
1) The Geaux Zone includes ALL live streaming audio events from the LSU Sports Radio Network — and more, including press conferences, pre- and post-game interviews, etc.
2) The Geaux Zone includes live video from all home baseball games — the schedule in 2005-06 includes 37 home games.
3) The Geaux Zone includes live video from non-conference, home, non-televised men’s basketball games. Remember that even the games that cannot be streamed live are available an hour after the game in archive form. Also highlights from the game are typically available on the day following the game.
4) The Geaux Zone includes live video from home, non-televised women’s basketball games. Again, if LSUsports.net cannot stream the game live, the archive of the full-game and then highlights are available not long after the game.
5) Due to SEC and network rules, we cannot offer live video from football games on a subscription basis whatsoever — however, the audio is always available in the Geaux Zone. LSUsports.net may offer an Internet-only pay-per-view webcast from time-to-time that would not be a part of the subscriber’s package. Check back in 2006 for to find out if any games will be available on LSUsports.net on a PPV basis.
6) The Geaux Zone includes live video from home gymnastics meets (though there is no running commentary).
7) There are various other programs, including the daily “LSU Update,” coaches’ television shows and the LSU Sports Journal, that are offered in the Geaux Zone on an on-demand basis. And, don’t forget about 2007 National Signing Day that includes video of all prospective student-athletes after they have signed to be Tigers.
