COLUMBUS, Ohio — The No. 11 LSU men’s tennis team will look to come away with its second road win this weekend when it faces 15th-ranked Ohio State (6-0) on Sunday at the Jesse Owens West Tennis Center at 11 a.m. CST.
LSU (5-0) won their first road match of 2006 Friday, downing Michigan 5-2.
Sunday’s match will pit some of the nation’s top doubles pairs against one another.
The Tigers’ 10th-ranked duo of Mark Growcott and Ken Skupski will face No. 2 Scott Green and Ross Wilson. 24th-ranked Danny Bryan and Colt Gaston will battle Ohio State’s 14th-ranked Kris Klingemann and Drew Eberly.
LSU head coach Jeff Brown knows the test the Buckeyes will give his team.
“Ohio State really speaks for itself,” said Brown. “They have a good program every year and we know we’re going to be in for a battle Sunday.”
The Tigers will play in the ITA National Team Indoor Tournament Feb. 17-20 in Seattle, before returning home Feb. 23 to take on Clemson.
