BATON ROUGE — Fans are encouraged to come out and “Meet the Tigers” LSU softball team from noon to 1:30 p.m. this Sunday at Tiger Park.
The event is free and open to the public. Fans will get the opportunity to watch the 2006 Tigers scrimmage from noon to 1 p.m. while members of the LSU Ticket Office are available to take season ticket orders. Hot dogs and drinks will also be available for purchase.
At 1 p.m., fans are encouraged to join the team on the field for a group performance of “Take me out to the Ballgame”. Following the sing-along, fans will be able to meet the players and receive autographed team posters.
Season tickets can be purchased for $60 for general admission tickets and $120 for reserved seating tickets, which will provide admission to 15 Southeastern Conference games, nine non-conference games, the Easton Purple & Gold Challenge and the Easton Tiger Classic.
LSU will open the 2006 season on Feb. 10 against Stephen F. Austin at Tiger Park in the Purple & Gold Challenge at 3:30 p.m. The Tigers will then take on Northwestern State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and South Dakota State before beginning bracket play in the three-day tournament.
