BATON ROUGE — The LSU gymnastics team’s hard work during the fall semester has not only benefited them on the floor of competition this winter, but it also paid dividends in the classroom as the Tigers recorded the highest grade point average among all women’s sports at LSU during the fall.
The 14-member Tiger squad averaged a 3.21 GPA with 11 student-athletes earning 3.0s or better.
Senior Kelly Phelan and freshman Lauren Klein led all Tigers with perfect 4.0s. Four others notched GPA’s of 3.5 or higher.
