BATON ROUGE — The LSU men’s basketball program will allow fans a special admission price for Monday’s LSU-Nicholls State game at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center as part of a special promotion in conjunction with Pat’s Coats for Kids.
Any fan bringing a new or used coat to donate for this annual program spearheaded by WBRZ-TV Chief Forecaster Pat Shingleton will get into the game, scheduled for 7 p.m., for just $1. Tickets for the game are regularly priced at $11 and $5 for youth (12 and under).
Distribution points will be available near the ticket windows on the upper concourse Monday to drop off your coat and get your discounted ticket for the contest.
“It’s an outstanding program that Pat Shingleton has worked tirelessly on for many years now and we are hopeful that many of our fans will take advantage of this opportunity to see the Tigers play Monday and help the “Coats for Kids” program in the process,” said LSU men’s basketball coach John Brady.
Started in 1988, “Pat’s Coats for Kids” and the Baton Rouge community have together collected more than 146,500 coats to meet the challenge of keeping the children in our area warm during the winter.
The Tigers opened the season Friday night with an 84-56 win over Southern University.
