Volleyball Signs Texas Standout Alaina Klarquist

BATON ROUGE — The LSU volleyball team received a National Letter of Intent for Allen High School standout Alaina Klarquist, it was announced by Tiger head coach Fran Flory on Thursday.

The 6-1 outside hitter from Allen, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, is a two-time participant in the USA Volleyball High Performance Camp. She has twice been named a first-team all-district selection and led her team to the 2004 area championship and the regional finals.

“Alaina is a very talented athlete,” said Flory. “She is very dynamic and very offensive minded. She has a great feel for the game. She is a super competitive person. We are thrilled to have her at LSU and think that she will contribute early in her career.”
