LAFAYETTE, La. — The LSU men’s tennis team will head west this weekend to compete in the Ragin’ Cajun Hibernia Bank Classic, hosted by the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
In addition to the Tigers, 10 other squads will be participating in the tournament, including SEC West rival Mississippi State.
LSU will have six players in action tomorrow. Two of the featured matches will include LSU’s James Cluskey facing ULL’s Robin Ley and Tiger newcomer Eric DeRoche taking on Niels Buksik, of Texas-Arlington. Both matches will start at 8:30 a.m.
Cluskey and DeRoche will also team up to compete in the A flight doubles bracket, but received a bye in first round play.
“This is another chance for us to get out there and compete,” said LSU head coach Jeff Brown. “We just want play some quality tennis this weekend and continue to improve for the spring.”
