BATON ROUGE — Three weeks, two storms, and countless alterations later, Tiger Stadium will finally see its first football game. No. 4 LSU takes on No. 10 Tennessee at 6:30 p.m. CDT in the first Monday night game in stadium history.
Though the schedule dictated three-straight home games to open the season, the Tigers (1-0, 0-0 SEC) have played only one game — a 35-31 victory over Arizona State in Tempe dubbed an “instant classic.”
The season opening contest against North Texas was moved to Oct. 29, before the Tigers were forced by Hurricane Katrina to travel to Tempe to face the then 15th-ranked Sun Devils on Sept. 10.

The Tigers, who put a 10-game winning streak in Tiger Stadium on the line, have played on Monday five times in school history, all in the postseason.
