BATON ROUGE — When LSU takes to the field for the first time in Tiger Stadium on Sept. 26 against Tennessee, Tiger football fans will have a new and exciting way to tailgate and enjoy the game day atmosphere. Fans can get the game day started five hours prior to kick off at the new Tiger One Village.
Located in front of the Maravich Center, Tiger One Village features Tiger One, the new mobile radio broadcast trailer and hospitality center, which will host LSU Gameday presented by Cox Sports Television. LSU Gameday is hosted by Voice of the Tigers Jim Hawthorne and is broadcast statewide on the LSU Sports Radio Network and live to all Tiger fans in the village.
Tiger One Village also includes a different live band each game day, concessions, event marketing and autograph signings by other Tiger teams.
Bands such as the Molly Ringwalds, Cowboy Mouth, Rebirth Brass Band, Snazz Band, and Corey ‘Lil Pop’ are scheduled to play in the village this season. The Molly Ringwalds will be the first band to perform in Tiger One Village prior to the Tennessee game. The full schedule is available on LSUsports.net.
“We are excited to bring Tiger One Village to LSU football fans,” said Ward Wyatt, general manager of LSU Sports Properties, the marketing and multimedia rights partner of LSU Athletics. “This is a unique way to enhance the game-day experience and celebrate the pride, passion and pageantry of LSU football and we think fans will be excited by the new opportunities leading up to the game.”
