BATON ROUGE — Four members of the LSU gymnastics teams were named to the 2005 Academic All-America team it was announced Monday by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W).
Recently departed seniors Lauren Companioni and Jade Jenkins were each named to the squad for the fourth straight season, while fellow 2005 senior Annie Gagnon was named to the list for the second straight year.
Also earning recognition was current senior Kelly Lea. She was honored for the third time in her career.
In order to be eligible for the Academic All-America Team student-athletes must post a current year or cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better.
