Baton Rouge is the State Capital of Louisiana, located along the Mississippi River in southern Louisiana. It is about 60 miles from the New Orleans airport and 80 miles from downtown New Orleans. Interstate 10 runs close to the University making LSU very accessible for those driving. The Baton Rouge Airport is only about a 15-minute drive from campus.

Teams traveling to and staying in Baton Rouge will have a large number of housing accommodations available within a short distance of the University as well as many choices of dining facilities.

Area and campus maps are included in this booklet to assist you in finding your way around Baton Rouge and the LSU Campus. There is a Visitor Information Center located on the corner of Highland Road and Dalrymple Drive that is open from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday where further campus information and maps are available. If arriving during the day, when University Parking Restrictions are in effect, parking information and visitor permits can be obtained from this office.

LSU Police are located on South Stadium Road across from the south end of Tiger Stadium. The office is open 24 hours a day. Their phone number in case of an emergency is 225-388-3231.
