BATON ROUGE — On Monday, Aug. 22, LSU Sports Properties will unveil the newest and most innovative Internet endeavor in the six-year history of LSUsports.net when the popular collegiate website re-launches with a new provider, a brand new look, and the “Geaux Zone.”
LSU Sports Properties, the exclusive marketing and multi-media rights partner of LSU Athletics, partnered with Sanford, Fla.-based XOS Technologies, which will create and host the latest version of The Official Website of LSU Athletics. XOS Technologies (www.xostech.com) is the leading provider of sports technology solutions to professional and collegiate teams.
“We’re extremely excited about this opportunity to bring new and exciting features to LSUsports.net with the help of XOS Technologies,” said LSU Sports Properties’ Todd Politz, LSU Sports Interactive Manager. “The Geaux Zone will quickly become the most popular destination to find exclusive, live and on-demand multimedia content about all 20 LSU sports for Tigers fans around the globe.”
XOS hosts websites for other top programs such as Duke, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Oregon and Kansas State.
The subscription-based portion of LSUsports.net, the Geaux Zone, features high-quality streaming video and audio from live and on-demand LSU events throughout the year.
A sampling of the events that are available in the Geaux Zone include replays of LSU football games, and selected live and taped men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball games, as well as video highlights from Olympic sports, video of the greatest moments in LSU Athletics history, live press conferences, coaches radio and television shows, pre- and post-game interviews, player and coach features, and much more.

With the help of XOS Technologies, the Geaux Zone will also offer LSU fans around the world a chance to interact with the Tigers on and off the field wherever they may be.

Other developments that will soon be added to the Geaux Zone are an eNews service called “On the Geaux” and “Geaux Tones,” mobile phone ring tone downloads from a library of popular LSU favorites as well as custom ring tones not available anywhere but LSUsports.net.
Fans looking to join the Geaux Zone will have two options: 1) A Premium Subscription to the Geaux Zone costs $9.95 per month or $99.95 annually and includes complete access to live and on-demand streaming video, audio and all other premium services added to the Geaux Zone; 2) An Audio-Only Subscription to the Geaux Zone costs $4.95 per month or $49.95 annually and includes complete access to streaming audio, and limited access to other premium services added to the Geaux Zone. The audio of LSU athletics events will be made free of charge to soldiers in the Armed Forces serving overseas.
