BATON ROUGE — New electronic graphics boards that will enhance the Saturday night LSU Football experience are being installed on the east and west facia of Tiger Stadium by LSU’s new multimedia rights holder, LSU Sports Properties.

The new boards, to be installed and operable by LSU’s season opener against North Texas, will measure 50 yards in length and three feet in height.

LSU Sports Properties’ parent company, Viacom Sports, has installed similar boards at the Georgia Dome and at football stadiums or basketball arenas at Florida State, Auburn, Maryland, Virginia, Kansas, Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon and North Carolina.

The electronics graphics boards, using light emitting diode technology, are manufactured by Opto Tech.
